Weight: 25lbs (10%)
Height: 32 inches (10%)
Head: Lol BIG
Sleep: AWESOME as always
Likes: Airplanes, helicopters, and basically anything that flies in the air, daddy's boy 100%, and loves his blanky.
Dislikes: When his brother is mean or teasing him and loud noises. Binky: NOPE, 2.5 weeks strong and his speech has already improved by a ton. It was actually unintentional getting him off, basically he lost all of them and I was not about to go out and by more late one night, so I just decided to throw in the towel with the binky. My cut off with a binky is two years old, so he was close enough and so far he has not cared at all so all is well!!
This year I was determined to give Eli an amazing birthday, because his first birthday was to say the least just down right sad. My Grandma passed away five days before his birthday, then we had the funeral on his birthday, so was not feeling up to celebrating anything. I felt so bad though because you only have first birthday once, and he totally got the shaft. However, I think I did a good job making up for it this time around. We of course had a Disney "Planes" themed birthday and had all of our family there. Eli doesn't understand the whole birthday concept yet, but I still think he loved all the presents and attention.
I'm very proud of Eli's invitation because I made it myself!! Usually I buy the JPEG file from Etsy.com, but since we got a new computer, and I took a whole semester in college on design I figured I could just do it myself. It was so much fun to make and can't wait to make Jaden's for his birthday.
Josh smoked an amazing brisket for Eli's birthday dinner and it was delicious! Seriously I think our Treager Smoker was one of the best things we ever bought, I wasn't a fan at first but I seriously use it every day and LOVE it.
Of course we had to do the traditional birthday cheek kiss! For presents we got Eli a Disney "Planes" Plane that shoots out these little balls and talks. My parent's got him a little fishing pole, a "Planes" rolling luggage/backpack, and the cutest "Jack in the Box" which makes him jump every time the Jack pops out haha. Josh's parents got him a "Planes" flying race track and an actual teeter totter airplane that's massive so it has to stay at their house (so more of a present for all the grand-kids to enjoy at grandma and papa's house). Josh has all the pictures on his phone from present opening since of course my camera battery died, so those pics will come later.
HAPPY HAPPY 2nd birthday to my sweet Eli!! We love you more than words could ever express and thank Heavenly Father everyday for blessing us with such a sweet and tender spirit.
P.S. Now I'm sure some of you are wondering when baby #3 is coming since Eli is now two years old. It's funny when your child turns a certain age (usually around 18 months) people start bugging you about having another one lol. Well, sorry to disappoint another baby is NOT coming any time soon. Josh and I are both very happy where we are at in life and content with the two little ones we have. I'm going crazy half the time trying to keep up with two boys to possibly even think about adding another one to the mix. I think anyone that knows me, knows I want a little girl more than anything else in the world, however I'm not guaranteed to have one and to be honest it FREAKS me out to get pregnant again knowing I could not get my baby girl. Don't get me wrong we will have another baby and if it's a boy I will of course love him with all my heart, but I can't lie that I will be devastated at first. Anyways, Josh and I do plan on maybe trying at the end of this year, so that Jaden will be in Kindergarten and Eli will be almost four. I truly am against having three kids at home hahah (I know some of you have perfect children) so three for you would be nothing, but I don't and I just couldn't handle it. So there you have it, I'll get off my soap box now, just thought I wold clear up any wondering minds about the subject.
