* My New Ride*

The day finally came that I actually got a NEW CAR!! I have been driving my same 2000 Dodge Neon since back when I turned 16 years old.  It was my first car my parents ever got me, and it has taken me through high school, college, marriage, and a baby. I have never really cared about cars or minded what I drove, because frankly it just seems like a waste of money to me. However, we are approaching having baby #2 and so the fit would be tight, not to mention how horribly UNSAFE my car is. Basically if I got in a car accident in the Neon I would probably be a paraplegic or six feet under ground. We started saving awhile ago for a new car too, because Neon's are not known for having a long life span (hence the reason they don't even make them anymore hahaha).

So I am now driving my absolute DREAM car..........2008 FORD EDGE LIMITED!! I drove this car a few times as a rental when we were in Washington and visiting AZ. It was LOVE at first sight. Pretty much from the time I ever drove it I became obsessed with it, and this would be the only car to ever replace the old Neon. I have never had auto locks and windows so that is pretty awesome, but the best thing ever about this car is the blue tooth feature and the automatic lift gate (being a mom that feature has blessed my life greatly). We don't believe in debt (except for a house or school) and we saved a good amount of money, but this car never seemed to fit in the budget. Luckily a great deal came around for this one that actually worked for us, so I am a very happy girl!!! It was definitely worth waiting all those years for.

I think it’s really a good idea that you replaced the old car. Due to wear and tear, you were likely to spend much more on maintenance and repair if you kept it. And a Ford Edge is certainly a good choice. It’s really better for your growing family because of its large seating capacity. No wonder you fell in love with it instantly!

It seems that you and your previous car had great memories together. Would you believe that since high school until you got married, that you’ve had that car? Isn’t it amazing? I hope that your current car will also last for a long time.

It must’ve been pretty hard for you to let go of your first car. But with how great your new car is, I’m sure you got over it soon enough. What I really like about your car is that it is very quiet and comfortable to ride. It is a good family car. In fact, it has become the family car of choice. ->Arlyne Nelms

*Honeymoon*

Josh and I went on a wonderful honeymoon to Cancun, Mexico for 8 day 7 nights in an all inclusive resort. We had a blast from relaxing on the beach, swimming with the dolphins, snorkeling, all the way to taking a tour to the Chichen-itza Pyramids (that was Josh's favorite). All and all it was a very fun and romantic honeymoon and we owe it all to my new in-laws for making it possible!
