I'm so behind on blogging it's embarrassing. Between work and family I just don't find the time anymore, however, it's still very important to me so I promise to catch up. Today is a day I don't want to forget and needed to get it down on the old blog.
Today is the day that my first born baby went to KINDERGARTEN. Now I seriously always thought I would be the parent that would be like "love ya, see you later", then scream and jump for joy because I would have freedom. That was not the case at all. No one can prepare you for this day, it was very emotional and anxious. I remember dropping Jaden off to pres-school and kind of forcing out a cry because I thought if I didn't maybe I wasn't a good mom haha. Jaden going to Kindergarten was a whole different set of emotions.
I cried in the days leading up to today, I cried last night, I cried this morning on the way home from the gym. I didn't cry a ton when dropping him off because of all the commotion going on with all the other kids/parents. Then I I got home and was kind of okay, Josh suggested we go to breakfast and on the way I lost it, and I totally lost it during breakfast too (everyone probably thought I was nuts). I think for me it was so hard, not because he will be gone for 6+ hours out of the day, it was that it's the first step he is taking to leaving me and not really needing me anymore. School years are going to fly by and then it's the mission which I can't even think about without getting sad.
My baby is growing up and that is a hard pill to swallow for me. My little man is a genius and is going to do amazing in school (he got tested for the advanced class and had the second highest score out of all the Kinder kids tested)! So extremely proud of him and his love for learning. His pre-school teacher was amazing in every way, and because of her he is fully reading, writing, and a little math whiz. Josh also gave Jaden a Father's Blessing this morning that was amazing and very heartfelt. I could feel the spirit so strong calming my nerves, and helping me know that everything was going to be okay. Here is to a great year of school for my baby!!

*Tour De Mesa*
I got my beautiful pink road bike in December for Christmas, got very busy with my work, kids, and just life in general, and was only able to ride my bike once before this big show down. I take a morning spin class every Tuesday and Thursday at the gym, but did not really think it would prepare me for this 28 mile ride. Josh did this race with his dad last year, but they did 70 miles, and there was no way I could do that, so Josh stuck with me through the shorter ride. I really did way better than I thought and think that my classes are really paying off! I'm pretty sure I'm going to do the Tour De Tucson which we can do 40, 70, or a 100 miles so I'm excited to train up for that. Cycling is seriously the greatest exercise ever and is so much fun! I'm totally in love with this new sport and love that I can share in Josh's passion of riding too.
Beginning of the race!

*The sweetest thing*
I put this on FB, but also wanted to document it on the blog. So Jaden was really sick last night and we were both up most the night doing breathing treatments. Well after the last one around 3:00am, I come back in his room to give him a drink and he touches my arm and says "thank you mama, your the best"! Melted my heart into a million pieces and I started balling. A five year old who is super sick and shows such love and appreciation for his mommy is simply amazing and so tender. I love my sweet Jaden more than words can say!

*Eli Three Year Stats*
Eli at three years old:
Height: 3 ft and 25 inches / 22 percentile
Weight: 28lbs 4 oz/ 15th percentile
Eyes: perfect!
This was the first time he did super well at the doctors office, I was very proud of him!!
He is in perfect health! Still has a dairy intolerance so we stick to almond milk and I try as much as possible to not give him too much dairy at one time. I'm just not motivated to potty train him, which I know I need to, so one of these days we will attempt it. Eli talks a lot better now and next year (2017) will start pre school! Eat and sleeps great, is in a toddler bed, and loves trucks, trailers, quads, reading books, and is a total daddy's boy 100%.
*Eli's Birthday Party*
On Eli's actual birthday we had a little party at Chucky Cheese with my family! I'm not a huge fan of these kinds of places but I knew he would love it so that's what matters.
*Happy 3rd Birthday Eli*
Oh my Eli lovins, I'm not even going to lie I'm looking forward to him being three, and getting out of the terrible twos haha. It's been rough and he knows how to push my buttons, but I love him anyways and he keeps me on my feet. So Josh's brother Tate and Eli have birthdays one day apart so we did a Sunday joint party at my in laws house.

*Honeymoon*
Josh and I went on a wonderful honeymoon to Cancun, Mexico for 8 day 7 nights in an all inclusive resort. We had a blast from relaxing on the beach, swimming with the dolphins, snorkeling, all the way to taking a tour to the Chichen-itza Pyramids (that was Josh's favorite). All and all it was a very fun and romantic honeymoon and we owe it all to my new in-laws for making it possible!
